Cruise Ship Marco Polo was hit by a freak wave the 14th of February 2014 between 1 and 2 pm local time while the ship travelled through Fridays severe storms. Another passenger was air-lifted from the ship. The cruise line tried to characterize the death as a result of a freak accident.
