No Smoking Cruise Ships

We spent 7 days on the Carnival Breeze but we couldnt enjoy our balcony for a few days because of people breaking the no smoking rule on the balconiesCar.

No smoking cruise ships. Outdoor smoking is limited to about 4 or 5 spots around the ship. Smoking is only permitted outdoors on Decks 3 4 and 6 except during meal hours. Cigar and pipe smoking are only permitted in the latter.

Many hotels restaurant and other venues are smoke-free or have non-smoking regulations in public spaces. Smoking is prohibited in all indoor areas of SeaDream s two 110-passenger luxury ships including their staterooms. Cigar smoking is only permitted in the Connoisseur Club and the designated outdoor area and pipe smoking is only allowed in the Connoisseur Club.

A policy of no cigarettes no cigars no ashtrays and no second-hand smoke anywhere is at the core of the cruise experience aboard the MS Paradise - and its a policy that is unusual indeed. Most river cruise lines including Viking River Cruises APT and AmaWaterways operate a no smoking policy on board. Disney Cruise Line does not permit smoking in any indoor areas. Permitted throughout the ship with the exception of all dining areas.

Smoking includes cigarettes e-cigarettes cigars e-cigars or any other smoking device. Given that smoking is already prohibited on all outdoor decks during the bunkering process this means that guests will not be able to smoke anywhere on board for several hours. Once upon a time Carnival Cruise Line built the first entirely non-smoking ship complete with non-smoking symbols largely painted on each side of the vessel and on its stern.

This link is a summary of smoking rules for most lines. I remember Carnival trying the no-smoking ship but I dont think it lasted very long. This policy applies to all forms of smoking materials including vapor e-cigarettes.
