My tour which was led by Dee Cooper Senior VP of Design at Virgin Voyages highlighted the incredible interior and exterior spaces of the Scarlet Lady. Virgin Voyages burst onto the scene with their first vessel Scarlet Lady. Their first sight is a large sculpture of popped muselets the wire cage that fits over champagne corks in brand red.
The Scarlet Lady will introduce all-new features never before seen at sea. In anticipation of the ships upcoming launch we sat down with Callie Tedder-Hares the woman responsible for the interior design work in 48 public spaces onboard Scarlet Lady. The message is clear the party has already started.
Cooper mentioned Virgin Voyages brought on creatives from all different fields none from the actual cruise industry to conceptualize the vessels innovative architecture. With a total of 20 food choices onboard the Scarlet Lady Virgin Voyages will bring city-like eating to sea and throw out the traditional cruise dining rule book with no buffet no main dining room no forced formal wear no assigned seating no assigned dining times and enhanced the choice for sailors to grab a bite by keeping restaurant. The Scarlet Lady has pulled out all the stops to become a floating design icon.
